Pinole Community Television (PCTV) provides quality broadcasting, ancillary video and audio services to the City of Pinole, other organizations, and the community. The Pinole-Hercules Water Pollution Control Plant treats all of the residential and commercial wastewater generated in Hercules, and most of the wastewater generated in Pinole.

Proposed changes on a property may require approval of a Planning Application before the changes are conducted. Such changes may include new buildings, additions, change in uses, new signage, and tree removal. More information on the types of Planning Applications and example projects that fall under each type can be found online. Citizens can submit and pay for Planning Applications online, including: Administrative and Conditional Use Permits; Administrative and Comprehensive Design Review; General Plan, Specific Plan and Zoning Ordinance Amendments; Lot Mergers, Adjustments and Subdivisions; Minor Deviations and Variances, Sign Permits and Sign Programs; SB 9 Lot Splits and Development; Temporary Use Permits; and Tree Removal Permits.

The City Council holds regular meetings on the first and third Tuesday of each month at the City Hall, 2131 Pear Street, Pinole, at 5:00 p.m. City Council business immediately follows the conclusion of Closed Session items.

As a public agency, the City of Pinole adheres to the California Public Records Act (GC § 6250-6270) which requires that governmental records shall be disclosed to the public, upon request, unless there is a specific reason not to do so.

The Department of Public Works will review your application and verify if all required documents have been submitted. If are missing any document(s) we will not review the permit.

The Police Department’s Property and Evidence Section handles the release of property booked for safekeeping. All property is released by appointment only. Please call 510-724-8923 for additional information and to make an appointment.
