Coastal Cleanup Day was a huge success β and itβs all thanks to YOU! We had 146 attendees (96 adults + 50 kids) come together to make a difference for our coasts, waterways, and parks. π
Together, we collected an incredible 1,118.6 pounds and 533.6 gallons of trash and recyclables! ποΈβ»οΈ
β¨ Highlights:
β’ The Trashure Hunt Box was discovered by a community member who won a prize from the @thecaliforniacoast + City of Pinole swag π
β’ Special thanks to the @friendsofpinolecreek for joining us β itβs always a pleasure to partner each year! πΏ
β’ A big thank you to @thewatershedproject_ for providing supplies & posters, and to community volunteers who manned the grillπ
β’ Winner of βMost Trash Collected by Volumeβ was Dave and Will Olsen who collected 64 gallons!!
City Manager Kelcey wasn`t far behind with 42 gallons! Kudos to Gayle Turner who collected 120.5 pounds, and the team of Jacob, Nathaniel, Rohaan, and Nicolas who collected nearly 100 pounds πͺ
From prizes, games, and barbecue fun ππ to the meaningful impact on our environment, this was a day to remember. We canβt wait to see you all again next year!
