Concierge Questionnaire

All-Electric Virtual Concierge Contractor Directory Questionnaire

Background

The City of Pinole is helping residential and commercial property owners simplify the switch to clean energy measures such heat pump water heaters, heat pump HVACs, electrical panel upgrades, induction stovetops, and more through our All-Electric Concierge service. We are building a directory of trusted local contractors who offer electrification services to Pinole residents and businesses. The concierge is being built in partnership with QuitCarbon, which offers expert electrification guidance for homeowners. QuitCarbon will be launching a tailored page for the City of Pinole through this partnership. Complete this form to feature your company on the City’s landing page for the concierge which will also lead to the QuitCarbon page for Pinole. Additionally, your business may be featured on the QuitCarbon partnering contractor if there is capacity and after meeting with QuitCarbon. Note: this questionnaire will remain open so contractors can submit any time to join the director. If you have questions or would like to update your information, please contact Kapil Amin, Sustainability Project Manager at kamin@pinole.gov.

Questionnaire: Upcoming Launch of the Pinole Water Heater Loaner Program

The City of Pinole is currently developing a water heater loaner program to support our climate action goals. The idea is to connect gas water heater owners with contractors to temporarily install a loaner water heater while upgrades are made to install a heat pump water heater. The City currently offers a $3,000 rebate on heat pump water heaters as well as a $1,000 rebate on panel upgrades. For a limited time, no-cost permits will be offered for heat pump water heaters. Additionally, the City has launched same day permits for heat pump water heaters. For fairness, the City will be the conduit to dispatch contractors to program participants in an equitable rotation. Program details are still under development such as the loaner period and other details. The City may be interested in exploring fixed pricing. Program participants will also be connected with free technical assistance to ensure the contractor’s scope and bid is fair.
Is your company interested in participating in the Pinole Water Heater Loaner Program?
If yes, does your company have a spare gas water heater which can be installed and loaned for a temporary period?
The City's rebate program issues rebates to TECH-certified heat pump water heater installations. Are you TECH-certified?
If no, would you be interested in becoming TECH-certified to participate in the program?
Would increased visibility for your business through the program be sufficient compensation to install the loaner unit at no cost?
Is your company interested in having a conversation about fixed pricing for heat pump water heater installations?
