Branding Guidelines

The City of Pinole is committed to maintaining consistent branding across all communications to strengthen community identity and foster local pride. Following a key recommendation in the 2022 Communication and Engagement Plan, new branding guidelines were developed to reflect both community input on what Pinole represents and a recognition of the City’s history. On March 21, 2024, the City adopted updated branding guidelines, including a refreshed City seal and logo, to ensure a cohesive and recognizable image that builds trust and reinforces Pinole’s unique character.

The City of Pinole was recognized by the California Association of Public Information Officials (CAPIO) with a Certificate of Excellence for its brand launch/rebrand project. Read about the entire rebranding process in the following report:

Please note that the City Seal and Logo are official property of Pinole and may only be used to identify authorized City documents, personnel, facilities, and events. Any private or commercial use without approval from the City Council or City Manager is unlawful. Learn more in the Pinole Municipal Code §1.02.050
