Reduced Speed Limits – Pinole Valley Rd. & San Pablo Ave.

The City of Pinole is excited to announce the completion of speed limit reductions that aim to enhance safety conditions for drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists in our community. Based on a citywide assessment and following the City Council approval, the Pinole Public Works team has successfully updated speed limit signs along key roadways to promote safer streets.
Updated Speed Limits:
- Pinole Valley Rd
- Tennent Ave to Granada Ct: Reduced from 30 MPH to 25 MPH
- Granada Ct to Simas Ave: Reduced from 35 MPH to 30 MPH
- Simas Ave to South City Limit: Reduced from 35 MPH to 30 MPH
- San Pablo Ave
- Oak Ridge Rd to Sunnyview Dr: Reduced from 35 MPH to 25 MPH
- Sunnyview Dr to West City Limit: Reduced from 40 MPH to 30 MPH
These changes aim to create a safer environment by reducing vehicle travel speeds on key identified corridors. The initiative underscores the City’s commitment to fostering safe transportation for pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists.
