Sidewalk Construction

RO2402 Sidewalk Rehabilitation Program construction work is now underway to improve accessibility in the downtown area as crews began sawcutting curb ramps saw cutting last week. This week curb ramps will be removed and replaced to ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

The upgrades will make sidewalks safer and more accessible for all residents, including those using wheelchairs, walkers, or strollers. Construction will continue over the coming weeks, with crews working to minimize disruptions to traffic and pedestrians.

Each area will take approximately two to three days to complete. Drivers and pedestrians are encouraged to use caution around work zones and follow posted detours. Once complete, the new curb ramps will provide smoother, safer connections between sidewalks and crosswalks throughout the downtown district.
