Holiday cheer lights up pinole!

The City of Pinole is excited to welcome the holiday season with a month of festive events, including the Holiday Tree Lighting, Shop & Stroll, Holiday Breakfast, and Glow Pinole. Throughout December, these events will spread holiday cheer across Pinole while celebrating and supporting our local businesses.

The festivities begin with the annual Tree Lighting and Shop & Stroll on Saturday, December 6, from 3:00 pm–6:30 pm at Community Corner (2301 San Pablo Ave.). During the event, visitors can enjoy children’s activities, food trucks, and a community Shop & Stroll, where you’ll have the chance to support local Pinole businesses. Participants are encouraged to explore downtown businesses, collecting passport stamps along the way for a chance to win exciting prizes. The evening concludes with the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the season with family, friends, and neighbors while supporting our vibrant downtown.

The holiday fun continues with our annual Holiday Breakfast on Saturday, December 13, from 9:00 am–11:00 am at the Senior Center (2500 Charles Ave.). Families are invited to enjoy a delicious breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus, featuring scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, coffee, and orange juice. Tickets may be purchased in person at the Senior Center or online at www.pinolerec.com and are priced at $10 for residents and $12 for non-residents.

Rounding out the season, Glow Pinole returns from December 1–26, inviting residents and businesses to take participate in our second annual holiday decorating contest. Participants can choose one contest category and will be featured on an interactive holiday map for community members to view, vote, and enjoy. This festive activity transforms Pinole into a sparkling winter wonderland, with standout displays receiving special recognition. Registration is open through December 14, and the interactive holiday map will be available on December 15, with community voting running from December 15–26.
