Pinole Community Television: CALL for Community-Based Video/Image Content

We’re excited to invite Pinole residents to submit their original video/image content for broadcast on PCTV! Whether you have a local story, a creative project, or an informative piece to share, we want to showcase the amazing talents and diverse voices of our community.

PCTV broadcasts on a variety of platforms, including our local cable channels and online through the City website, Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, and YouTube. This is your chance to have your voice heard and contribute to the rich tapestry of Pinole’s stories.

We’re looking for content that is engaging, informative, and reflective of the unique experiences that make Pinole and neighboring city’s special. So, if you’ve got a story to tell, we’d love to see it!

Here are the Guidelines:

Content Focus:

Business Advertisement : Free For limited Time till September 1, 2025
Local events, activities, and achievements
Human interest stories
Educational programs
Public affairs discussions (e.g., public meetings with added commentary)
Arts & Culture (music, dance, theater)
Local history
Community organizations and initiatives

Video Specifications:

Minimum resolution: 720p HD
Aspect Ratio: 16:9 only
Dimensions: 1920×1080 preferred; 1280×720 accepted
File format: MPEG-4 and H264
Audio Duration: Must match video duration
Loudness: Must Less than -10 db
Audio Bit Rate: 192 kbps audio minimum
Duration: 2 mins to 2 hours (longer programs may be considered on a case-by-case basis)
Duration for Ad: 30 seconds for PSA’s
Closed captions are highly encouraged
Any disclaimer in this video ad must be displayed in a clearly legible, prominent font size, easily visible on the screen for all viewers.

Aspect Ratio: 16:9
File format: PNG, JPEG

Content Requirements:

All videos/images must be appropriate for a general audience (no alcohol, tobacco profanity, violence, or hateful content).
All video/image should be original and MUST not infringe on copyright
Video/Image content should be original and not infringe on copyrights.
A brief description (1-2 sentences) summarizing your video/image is required.

Selection Process:

Topics and subjects must have some direct relationship or interest to the residents of Pinole as determined by the PCTV Coordinator.
Submissions will be reviewed by a committee based on content relevance, production quality, and overall engagement.
Selected videos/images will be scheduled for broadcast on Pinole TV.
Creators will be notified of the selection decision.
